Resort 2021 Look + Product Image Retouching / LAPOINTE
Due to the covid quarantine period in early 2020, the Resort 2021 collection had to be conceptualized and executed entirely remotely. We could not produce samples or a photo shoot like we usually would for a new collection. As an alternative, I had to find a way to transform our Resort 2020 collection lookbook images into something new again. The sales team was going to sell similar styles in a classic color palette through virtual market appointments. To arm them with the visual assets they would need for that effort, I was tasked with renegotiating our usage rights on five images from the lookbook of our Resort 2020 collection, transforming all of the clothing colors into the new palette, and in some cases transforming the styles represented. There was no budget for this retouching project and all work was done in Lightroom and Photoshop.
Product images from various previous seasons were similarly manipulated in Photoshop to create new product images for the Resort 2021 season. Some products, like the cropped tank (pictured in the last page of the lookbook gallery below) have never existed as a sample, so the image had to be fully fabricated digitally.
The final assets were used across the business to support the brand’s wholesale market appointments, press coverage, retail partners, e-commerce site, DTM marketing initiatives, social media posts, and digital advertising campaigns.
